About OKB
OKB is the token of OKX, one of the world's largest exchanges. Holding it lowers trading fees, opens access to new token sales on the Jumpstart platform, and fuels X Layer, a zero-knowledge rollup on Ethereum run by the exchange.
Its economics rest on burning. The exchange long bought back tokens out of part of its revenue and burned them, so supply declined. In 2025 a one-off burn of a large volume cut supply to tens of millions — a common move for exchange tokens, but a fundamental change to total supply.
The risk is the same as for all exchange tokens: value tracks the health and regulatory position of a single company. OKX has faced investigations in the US and restrictions in several countries, and the token reacts to that faster than to anything technical.
