What the BNB/BTC ratio means
The BNB/BTC rate says how much bitcoin one BNB costs. It is the one number that separates the coin's own performance from the move of the whole market: in a bull market almost everything rises in dollars, but the ratio to Bitcoin only rises for what genuinely attracts capital faster than BTC does.
Traders read it the other way round from the dollar chart. A rising ratio means money is rotating out of Bitcoin into altcoins — what people call alt season. A falling ratio means a flight back to Bitcoin, even while BNB is rising in dollars.
The 200-day moving average works as a rough dividing line between periods when the altcoin leads and when it lags. The ratio stays in wide bands for years, so a few percent either way means little — it only makes sense against previous cycles.
