The Flare price in context
The FLR price and market statistics (cap, volume, supply) come from the CoinGecko aggregator — FLR has no USDT pair on Binance, so the price here does not stream live but refreshes every few minutes. The period change is measured from the first point of the selected range.
The complete ranking lives on the crypto prices page.
About Flare
Flare tackles a problem most chains outsource: getting data from outside. Oracles are not an external service but part of the protocol. The FTSO collects price data from delegates, who are rewarded by how close to the median they landed, and the FDC verifies events from other chains.
The second feature is FAssets — a way to bring bitcoin, XRP or dogecoin onto Flare without trusting a central bridge. The original coin is locked by an agent who backs it with over-collateralised security; if they misbehave, the collateral covers the loss.
The FLR token is used for delegating to oracles, staking and voting. Distribution ran as an airdrop to XRP holders, which gave the project a large user base at once but also a long period of gradual token unlocks.
