About Bitcoin Cash
Bitcoin Cash was created in August 2017 by a split (hard fork) of Bitcoin during the scaling dispute: its camp pushed for bigger blocks so the network could handle more transactions cheaply directly on-chain. BCH has blocks of up to 32 MB and fees of fractions of a cent, aiming for the role of "electronic cash" for everyday payments.
Technically it shares proof-of-work mining, halvings and the 21 million coin cap with Bitcoin. By market capitalization and network effect, however, it remains much smaller than the original Bitcoin.
